After very little precipitation during the winter months, April brought the first appreciable rainfall. May was one of the warmest on record and resulted in fast growth of the vegetation. Summer was dry throughout and the autumn also brought very little rain. This allowed the grape harvest to proceed smoothly – providing excellent grapes and very good yields.
