THE PFEIFER FAMILY

The Pfannenstielhof is a true family-run estate in every sense.
Viticulture has been practiced on our winery in Rencio, in the eastern valley basin of Bolzano, for centuries. This long-standing tradition is both an honor and a responsibility for us. As an ancestral estate, the Pfannenstielhof has been in our family's hands for over 200 years. Our knowledge and experience are passed down from generation to generation – along with our unwavering passion

For us, wine is a lived identity. Our work is guided by a deep respect for nature and a commitment to harmony with the environment. We practice integrated viticulture with traditional pergola system, and – as it could only be – with loving and meticulous handcraft both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

Margareth is in charge of making sure that our wine reaches your glass and gives you as much pleasure as it does us. She especially loves being able to interact directly with our customers. As a qualified mathematician, Margareth has a knack for numbers and always keeps a cool head, even when things get chaotic. Hence our wine glasses are kept half full instead of half empty!

“What could be better than people coming to us and enjoying wine where it is produced?”

“I have great respect for our long tradition. And lots of ideas on how we can take it into the future!”
