2023 vintage

The 2023 vintage year really had it all. An extremely dry and subsequently rainy and cool spring was followed by a humid summer complete with three heat waves. Autumn began wet and then thankfully revealed its golden colours. This enabled the grapes to ripen well and stay healthy. The extreme weather conditions in spring and summer demanded the utmost attention, professionalism and dedication. In difficult years like this one, we were particularly grateful for our excellent locations. The constant wind dried the vines and grapes after the numerous rain showers. Fungal diseases and the cherry fruit fly had no chance to take hold. The grapes, without exception, remained healthy right through to the harvest.
